Privacy policy
This policy explains how personal data is handled when you visit fromdone.com or contact FromDone about its products and services.
1. Controller and contact
The controller for personal data described in this policy is:
[LEGAL ENTITY NAME][REGISTERED ADDRESS]
[COMPANY / VAT REGISTRATION NUMBER, IF APPLICABLE]
Email: privacy@fromdone.com
If a data protection officer or representative is appointed, their details will be added here: [DPO OR REPRESENTATIVE DETAILS, IF APPLICABLE].
2. Scope
This policy covers the public FromDone website and business enquiries sent to FromDone. It does not describe the processing performed through the FromDone product for a customer. For product processing, the customer generally determines the purpose of processing and its own privacy notice and data processing agreement apply.
3. Personal data we process
Information you provide
When you contact us, we may receive your name, work email address, company, expected case volume, the contents of your message and any follow-up correspondence.
The website contact form prepares an email in your own email application. The form is not sent to a FromDone database by the website itself. FromDone receives the information only if you choose to send that email.
Technical and security data
Web servers and hosting infrastructure may process IP address, browser and device information, requested URL, referring URL, date and time, response status and security events. This information is used to deliver the site, maintain security and diagnose faults.
Cookies and similar technologies
The current website does not use client-side analytics, advertising pixels, local storage or non-essential cookies. Read the Cookie Policy for the current inventory and what will happen if this changes.
4. Purposes and legal bases
| Purpose | Data | Legal basis |
|---|---|---|
| Respond to enquiries, arrange product discussions and assess a requested pilot | Contact, company and message data | Steps requested before a contract and/or legitimate interests in responding to business enquiries |
| Operate, secure and troubleshoot the website | Technical and security logs | Legitimate interests in providing a reliable and secure service |
| Meet legal obligations and establish, exercise or defend legal claims | Relevant contact, correspondence and technical data | Legal obligation and legitimate interests |
Where processing relies on legitimate interests, we consider the necessity of the processing and its impact on your rights. You may object as described below. We do not use website enquiry data for unrelated advertising without an appropriate legal basis.
5. Recipients and service providers
Personal data may be available to authorised FromDone personnel and to service providers that support hosting, security, business email, professional advice and IT administration. We require service providers to handle personal data only for agreed purposes and with appropriate safeguards.
We may also disclose information where required by law, to protect rights or security, or in connection with a corporate transaction subject to appropriate confidentiality measures. We do not sell personal data.
6. International transfers
Some service providers may process data outside your country or the European Economic Area. Where required, transfers will rely on an adequacy decision, approved standard contractual clauses or another lawful transfer mechanism, together with supplementary safeguards where appropriate. Contact us for information about the mechanism relevant to your data.
7. Retention
Business enquiry data will be kept for [CONFIRM PERIOD, E.G. 24 MONTHS AFTER THE LAST MEANINGFUL INTERACTION], unless a longer period is required for a contract, legal obligation or legal claim. Technical and security logs are retained according to the hosting and security configuration for [CONFIRM LOG RETENTION PERIOD]. Data is then deleted or irreversibly anonymised where reasonably possible.
8. Your rights
Depending on applicable law and the circumstances, you may have the right to:
- receive information about the processing and access your personal data;
- correct inaccurate or incomplete data;
- request deletion or restriction of processing;
- receive certain data in a portable format;
- object to processing based on legitimate interests or to direct marketing;
- withdraw consent at any time where consent is the legal basis; and
- complain to your competent data protection authority.
To exercise a right, email privacy@fromdone.com. We may need to verify your identity and may retain limited information needed to record and respond to the request.
You can find your EEA supervisory authority through the European Data Protection Board member list. The controller’s lead authority must be added here once its establishment is confirmed: [SUPERVISORY AUTHORITY].
9. Security and automated decisions
We use technical and organisational measures designed to protect personal data against unauthorised access, loss, misuse or alteration. No internet transmission or storage system can be guaranteed completely secure.
FromDone does not make decisions producing legal or similarly significant effects about website visitors solely through automated processing. Product capabilities shown on this website are not used to decide website enquiries.
10. Children
This business website is not directed to children, and we do not knowingly seek personal data from children through it. If you believe a child has provided data, contact us so we can take appropriate action.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy when the website, our providers or legal requirements change. The “Last updated” date will show the latest revision. Material changes will be highlighted where appropriate.
12. Contact
